DS brought in a bounty of leaves to press and asked what kind of leaf is this? I regret I have never taken the time to learn how to identify trees by their leaves. I'm sure once upon a time, most people knew this basic info.
Perhaps most still do and I missed class that day or week? ;) However, being driven to help ds quench his thirst for leaf knowledge a googling we went and unearthed this amazing website ~ http://www.oplin.org/tree/leaf/byleaf.html
I hope you all will check it out. Unless of course, you already know how to identify trees by their leaves ;)
Most of the our current leaf collection are Eastern Cottonwood btw!
