This lovely Luna Moth was found on my front screen door the other night and after I donned my gardening gloves and helped it to the sidewalk I got these amazing photos and then helped it once more to the grass. At first, we weren't sure if it was gonna make it but the next day it was no longer to be found. I hope it flew away to happiness and didn't get ate by one of the stray cats that roam our area!

would you believe i have some photos of this same little type of moth? i spotted one a few years back, just sitting on the wall outside a grocrey store. i had never seen one before, and i never knew the name until now. they're so pretty! i'd like to think this little one did end up flying away, safe from hungry kitties!
